It looks like alot of people are looking into or have moved to Lee county from Indiana or the midwest.
I was wondering where you found the best deal for a box truck for moving.
I'm looking at about $1400 plus taxes for a 24 ft. truck.
Anyone have any tips on a better deal?

Ski ~ when we moved down here from the frozen north, the cost was more than that. So, we decided to sell our house furnished then drove south in vehicle packed with essentials, like golf clubs & flip flops. It was far easier to purchase exactly what we needed, once we got here.

Play each rental truck off of each other - get a quote from Penske and Uhaul. Call Penske back saying Uhaul offered xxx can you meet or beat that price. Our rental was supposed to be 1600 but got it down to about 1000 by doing this.

Depending on your local fleet - I would try to stick with Penske. Take a look on the lot of Uhaul / Budget / etc most are not well maintained, but you may have an exception to the rule in your area.

We used UPack to move our stuff to the new home. They park an 18 wheeler trailer at your home, you pack a section of it and seal it off, they pick it up, pack their wholesale cargo in front, drive it to a location near your destination, empty their cargo, drive it to your house, park the cab, yuou unload, and then they retrieve the trailer.

Worked like a charm. Saved us the gas expense and the inconvenience of a long drive from PA in a rental van or with a trailer, which can really slow you down, not to mention the safety issues. Much cheaper than the PODS.
