Hit cost you about $450.00 to transfer a passenger vehicle to FL. Less if you have a truck over 5000 pounds. These folks are screwy around here.
Cost more for a car than a truck. Not exactly the brightest lightbulbs in the chandelier\. But that is what you get when you put the progressives in charge UTTER CHAOS.

Even using old information... (base rate without the added fees)

Automobiles (less than 2,500 pounds) $19.50
Automobiles (2,500-3,500 pounds) $30.50
Automobiles (3,500 or more pounds) $44.00
Trucks (less than 2,000 pounds) $19.50
Trucks -based on weight (2,000-3,000 pounds) $30.50
Trucks -based on weight (3,000-5,000 pounds) $44.00
Goat Truck $10.25
Antique Truck $10.25
Heavy Truck (5,001 -6,000 pounds) $60.75
Heavy Truck (6,000-8,000 pounds) $87.75
Heavy Truck (8,000-10,000 pounds) $103.00
Heavy Truck (10,000-15,000 pounds) $118.00

Sample with all the fees added: DHSMV: Sample Registration Fee Calculations

Last time I checked, 60 is more than 44.

From the site listed before...

Vehicle registration rates are based upon the weight of the registered vehicle. The following are 12 month rates (initial registration rates are an additional $225.00 plus a plate fee of $28.00):

Automobile (Private Use)

Weight Thru 2,499 lbs. - $46.65
Weight 2,500 - 3,499 lbs. - $57.65
Weight 3,500 and up - $71.15

Lightweight Trucks

Weight Thru 1,999 lbs - $46.65
Weight 2,000 - 3,000 lbs. - $57.65
Weight 3,001 - 5,000 lbs. - $71.15

Motorcycle

All - $41.65

For rates on large trucks, please contact our office at (239) 533-6000.

Lee County (Florida in general?) goes by the weight of the vehicle. I would gather to say a truck over 5k lbs is going to be more expensive than under 5k. Until I see proof...

We've been over and over that with him. I guess his friend Rick Scott is a progressive.
