19 1/2 bag limit of 4. The way the data is collected is absurd.

Meanwhile NJ ( next state over) gets 7 @ 17 same as Rhode Island

I belong to Noreast.com also and keep up on all the BS the governmant is stuffing down your throats, next up is black fish.

Lots of fillet and release going on up there also and from guys who tradionaly follow the rules to the T.

I go on noreast also, keeps me up to date. The regs are crazy but they do help, but this fluke thing? You know I was a seafood manager and every winter we would get fluke fillet instead of flounder, they called it flounder the commercial fleet were rapeing the winter grounds.Maybe if the powers that be would take care of that stuff too it all would make a difference. Anyway have you been tarpon fishing by you?

Oh Yea!!!

I got my first fish last year, about 90-100 pounds in 15 feet of water, walked me around the boat twice. Right off Sanibel. Lots going on here fishing wise also.

Sort of missed the bite this year because of some family problems but manged to get out a few times and hooked up with some blacktip and nurse sharks.

That's why I get a kick out of people knocking this place, not only is there salt water fishing here there plenty of man made lakes for the fresh water guys.

Plenty of other things to do also besides boating/fishing I just don't get it.

Click the JPG for a picture of the Tarpon!!!

The News-Press, news-press.com, Cape Coral, Survey: Cape residents not happy with city

I have said this before quality of life and all that good stuff is what you make it to be. Look all around the country young people will be complaining about nothing to do. It is what you make it.where I live in the summer we enjoy what you have and the kids are doing the same things, my 17 year old he is into sports so him and his friends play basketball, football and do things like that.when they are not keeping themselves busy they are hanging out with their girls at someones house. Now I know there are places to play bball and stuff in the cape I saw them. We also have the kids that do nothing but hang around and smoke pot and drink. Then you have the ones that say this place sucks I cant wait to get out of here. To go where? and do what? they usually go away to college and party it up and have a good time and when it is all over it is back to the real world of working to pay your bills. Then the only fun you have is the fun you make yourself. The other people complaining are looking for a quality of life I dont see existing anymore unless you make it that way for yourself, people nowadays take for granted the best things in life and those are free. most people spend there whole life keeping up with the joneses and looking for something that just is not there, it comes from inside. Some people can live in a shack and be happy others live in mansions and are miserable. anyway no matter where anyone is, it is what you make it,remember one thing no matter where you go, you bring yourself with you. peace
