Crime rate for Cape Coral much lower than national average. One of the safest cities in Florida.

Severe weather. has pretty good thunderstorms all summer long. Florida has a lot of tornados but they are usually very small and don't cause much damage. Southwest florida has had a couple hurricanes in the past century. It is usually not the path that hurricanes travel for a direct hit but it has happened before and will happen again.

Where are all those " lot of tornadoes" ???? I've been here 16 years in Ft Myers and have yet to see or hear of any tornadoes. Water spouts out over the Gulf of Mexico are seen from time to time. Crime rate depends on what part of the Cape your talking about. the more populated southern end isn't as bad as the more desolate and way cheaper northern end. What was up with all the GANG activity going on over there in the Cape a year or so ago????
the only "severe weather that we worry about usually comes with about a week of notification, Hurricanes. They scare you down here with updates and weather reports on an approaching hurricane, just like they do up north with snow storms. As long as your prepared with supplies, shutters or an evacuation plan, there is no problem. The weather up north like floods and tornadoes where you have NO advanced notice to get ready over shadows any weather that we have here. The lower Gulf side of Florida usually has the least number of Hurricanes, not to say we didn't get hit a few years ago, but not like the rest of Florida.

Which U.S. state gets hit by the most tornadoes each year?

Florida tied for #3 spot of state with the most tornadoes

here's one from 3 weeks ago

and you are wrong about crime in the northern desolate areas being higher. The NW has the least amount of crime in cape coral.

Are they still in business? Tapatalk helps with posting photos and better than some forums that only allow thumbnails IMHO

Too bad www.city-data.com does not use Tapatalk. You use that to post photos without the distraction of a Photobucket logo spoiling your picture post.
