My friend has been getting free cable for years merely by threatening to cancel over the phone annually. they never realize it because so many people handle customer service. they will always hand out free stuff just to keep you signed up.

Colt's season is over. Peyton Manning has season ending surgery. There always next year.

Can still get you $100 off your DIRECTV bill if you order before 10/15 and you use my refer a friend account number. Free NFL Sunday ticket too.

Don't click on that link unless you like spam. In fact, I clicked on it and got a virus. If you check around the internet you'll find that this company takes folks' money and they never get television shows. Any television shows.

That poster was banned because all he did was throw up that link. I reported the link far after he was banned, that it causes problems, but nothing was done about it. As usual.

So please don't click on it. If something seems to good to be true, it is.

Thank You hiknapster, I did clink on link, hopefully I was lucky Mcafee and Avast blocked. Yeah, too good to be true, went from 79.95 to 49.95. Sure did sound like a solution.

Appreciate your input and advice.

? lol i don't think you understand. you call up to cancel your cable service you are already paying for, saying you aren't satisfied, too expensive, etc. then they start to jump through hoops trying to keep you on board by offering things, you always wane at the first couple offers, until they finally give up something like free cable for 4 months and various other things, special channel packages, etc. then you say, "well... okay, i guess i'll give it another shot"

in 4 months, repeat the same thing. they never kept tabs on our place when I stayed with my friend and we ended up never paying for cable.

You got lucky. They keep tabs. When your account pops up they can see exactly what discounts you had and who gave them to you. It will say "Retention." There is a certain amount of time you have to wait until you can get another "retention" deal. You keep getting someone that is looking the other way.

And you are not getting free cable. Not from Comcast. You may be getting a very good discount but it's not free.
