We were down in Cape Coral for 2 weeks and ate at Sonny's 4 times!! Loved their baby back ribs and the brisket was great!! They have a great salad bar and the corn on the cob and sweet potato were outstanding!!!

Transplants need to watch this tutorial. Notice that the state map of Florida is actually California. Somehow I think that wasn't a mistake.

Just off MLK and Evans there is a black guy who has a BBQ pit (look for the smoke)... You can get a great rack of ribs for like $12 and the sauce is great! I would suggest you stop by sometime and try it; I believe he deals in cash only.

I never had the ribs at Smokin Pit. I always get the pulled pork. I don't like it with BBQ sauce so I ask for it seasoned. mmmmm

My bad for not being more specific before. I used google map / street view to track down the place. Put in:

1981 Cranford Avenue, Fort Myers, FL 33916

It's the place on the NW corner on the intersection of Cranford and MLK right across from Imaginarium. In google maps/street view you can actually see the smoke coming out and a stack of wood outside from the MLK side.

Probably anytime between 4-7 during the week or early afternoon on Saturday is optimal to swing by his place. Again it's nothing fancy and he doesn't even have a credit card machine but def not boiled ribs.
