We hear about murders almost everyday here now! Also, bank robberies, and other thefts. There are tons of predators and sexual offenders. It used to be few and far between! go to http://www.sheriffleefl.org and do a search on the crime in Fort Myers. Just too many people here. Most people I know carry guns with them now. I am thinking about getting my license to carry too!

I think that is why so many people are posting negatives about lee county! You don't like the fact that it is growing so you are trying to scare potential buyers away buy acting like Lee county is a crime haven. The sheriff website isn't a statistic because it doesn't compare lee to other counties. Yes Lee has crime but not nearly as much as other areas of florida.

I disagree. They can have it! Sure, areas like Miami, Jacksonville and Tampa are high crime areas, I am just saying that since Fort Myers is growing so much, the crime is coming with it! People from Miami are moving here to get away from crime there, you get the idea.

How long have you lived in Fort Myers? Do you remember when crime was little to none? If not, then you need to do some study on the way things really are here!

inftmyers has to be selling her house. Has to be.

Or she works for the Chamber of Commerce.

I'm betting the former.

It won't be the first time that someone from southwest Florida has hysterically pumped up the area, just so they could get out of Dodge.

Default Noooo!

The place has gone down in the last year or so. You love your family, don't go there. Read various threads posts and you'll see the writing on the wall.
