Utilities in CC. Grrrrr!
After trying to get through to the electric and water/sewer for 3 days for new service, I give up! Would have liked to have it in time for closing, not gonna happen. Keep getting transferred, then hang ups. Grrr! Not a great 1st impression. Can't say I have not been warned. Looks like my house closing will be in the dark. Good thing I have a camper ( yes, I know about permits, thanks to the people here). Let my griping begin.

You can request service online too. Or go in person.....

Congrats on your closing!
I've been through the utilities set more than twice and my experience has been very different than yours in that I've had no issues contacting them by phone, or online, and my interactions with them has been very pleasant. And no, I don't personally know anyone there. Maybe they're on mid-summer hiatus or something. Maybe give them another chance - perhaps they were having an off day or 2 or 3. Good luck.

We've closed on houses 4 times down there and didn't have a problem at all. Congrats on your house and sorry you are having issues.

It just must be one of those weeks. :-) I don't usually complain. Everything else has been going great. Bought a short sale, got an answer in 2 weeks, home inspection went well, house only needs yard work and new fencing. I'm so ready. Next week I'm there.
