Default Elementary schools in Lehigh Acres

Hello! I will be moving to Lehigh Acres soon... and I am zoned for Alva Elementary, Lehigh Elementary and Veterans Park Academy for the Arts.

I am wondering if anyone can tell me which school is better, Alva Elementary or Veterans Park?
They seem to be very different. I like the smaller size of Alva Elementary, yet like the focus on the arts of Veterans Park. Both schools got A's...

If anyone knows anything negative about either school, it would help me in my decision.

Thanks so much!

Default Elementary Schhols/Lehigh

I have personal experience with both schools mentioned. My son went to Alva and my daughter went to Veterans Middle along with my grandkids who were in Veterans Elementary. Alva a few years ago had an excellent reputation and being a smaller school, was able to give more time to a student that was in need of an little extra help. Veterans is a bigger school capacity wise but my grandson who is autistic does very well there. Depending on my needs they were both good choices.

However, if given an opportunity to suggest a great elementary school here, it would be Sunshine. The teachers(Like Ms Miller) do a great job communicating with parents and they make it a fun, caring environment. My youngest daughter went there 5 years and went on to become an exceptional student with A/B honor roll. She is now in the International Baccalaureate program,so I would say the teachers did an excellent job giving her the ground floor opportunity for success. She worked hard too, but they gave the extra needed support in the school environment she needed to feel accepted, wanted and needed as a student....
That's not saying the other 2 is just as good....just that Sunshine was exceptional...
