I'll review the comments (if any) on your red mark. All, Please don't use the negative replies because you disagree with the poster. Our opinions on a location or issue are just that, opinions. Highly subjective. Personal preferences. Quirks, even. Leave wiggle room for dialogue, others may not see things the same as you, or been there as long as you, and any one of us can be wrong. Pouncing on someone you disagree with runs contrary to the spirit of this board and its members. We are here to help each other. Do not give negative ratings to posts that you simply disagree with or your own reputation will be downgraded. Negative ratings should be reserved for posts that are spammy, off-topic, flames, or don't contribute anything. |

. Although recent 2007 data has Coral Springs still at #1, Pembroke Pines at #2, and Boca Raton at #3. Wonder where Cape Coral is this year. Wish I could find the link.I, for one, don't think Cape Coral is that bad. I would just blow my brains out of boredom there. Fort Myers area has a strange feeling to me thats kind of intangible. |

I don't know where I saw this, but a report one time said Cape Coral is the safest city in all of Lee County.

Based on what you quoted it would seem so... Otherwise speaking of "here" when he isn't "here" wouldn't make much sense.....

Who's trying to stop anyone from moving to Florida??? A question was asked why people have a lot of negative things to say about a town and a resident explained why..... Last edited by sunrico90; 01-04-2008 at 04:40 PM. Reason: Orphaned post |

The ranking from the Morgan Quitno Press is based on six different categories of crimes: murder, rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary and motor vehicle theft. In total, 371 cities were ranked and Coral Springs ended up as number ten. Saint Lucie was second best in the Sunshine State and had a national ranking of #25. Orlando, West Palm Beach and Miami showed up on the low end of the scale. Miami was ranked #327, West Palm checked in at #344 and Orlando had the lowest “safety” ranking in the state coming it at #347 out of 371. But Tampa and Miami were also singled out for showing substantial improvement compared to last year’s ranking. Here are the Morgan Quitno “Safe City” rankings for Florida towns: #25 – Port Saint Lucie #50 – Boca Raton #59 – Pembroke Pines #87 – Davie #89 – Sunrise #90 – Cape Coral #94 – Plantation #141 – Miramar #147 – Palm Bay #152 – Hialeah #160 – Lakeland #175 – Hollywood #183 – Melbourne #218 – Clearwater #238 – Gainesville #248 – Jacksonville #271 – Fort Lauderdale #274 – Tallahassee #311 – Pompano Beach #316 – Tampa #319 – Miami Beach #323 – Saint Petersburg #327 - Miami #339 – Miami Gardens #344 – West Palm Beach #347 – Orlando |
