We've had a lot of luck with extensive dental work in the past couple months through Gary Shierling, who we found through Angie's List. You have to pay up front, but they process your insurance for you and then you get reimbursed. Both the staff and Dr. Shierling are great.

Like any social networking tool, one has to learn to read between the lines. Angie's List has never let me down.

To Travelassie,
Sorry if I did not expand on my mention of "medicare" and "dentist" in the same post.
I am on Medicare Advantage plan (Florida Blue) and of course, one has to be on Medicare to begin with. Then FL Blue, as well as other medicare advantage plans, provides the dental coverage. I know you knew that already.
I do agree that it is not much but quite suitable for those with healthy teeth.

Does anyone know of a "kind" dentist in Cape Coral who might accept a new patient (and new to the city but with healthy teeth) on Medicare Advantage plan and do the routine oral exam, x-rays and teeth cleaning WITHOUT requiring first to undertake periodontal scaling and root planning?
thanks
