Which areas, with homes on 1/2 to 1 acre, allow backyard chickens? Any within 20 or so min. of the beach?

Yes...Chickens....froglipz! Thought it would be fun to raise a few (3-4) chickens for eggs/hobby and wondering if any areas allowed backyard chickens.

GGE = Golden Gate Estates on the east side of town. Most of it is more than 20 minutes from beaches, but not too much more.

Trouble is, most of the places that will allow chickens are for the birds.

San Carlos Estates in the 41/Old 41 area of Bonita Springs would put you much closer to the beach than GGE. Those are 1.25 acre parcels zoned AG-2. Horses are OK in there, I'm sure chickens, and some other critters are fine also.
