And the DOJ is working with the Southern Poverty Law Center to have ex-military, Libertarians, etc defined as domestic terrorists.

Some people are so close minded that no matter what is said they will not change or see anything they don't agree with. It is a waste of time.

WE THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA demand the United States Justice Department immediately investigate and indict Rick Scott and Associates who evidently engaged in or aided and abetted corrupt racketeering while conspiring against our civil rights and interests.

Our system of government is broken, however, we are still free to think and speak about it.

Eventually we will say, "Enough is Enough", we have done it before.

Hopefully you have a grin on and not a snarl...

Being conservative doesn't mean Red vs. Blue.

We all want the same things:

Peace and Prosperity

I just think we do not need to pay Lawyers for the rest of our lives in order to achieve it.

Our government leaders think they are royalty and not public servants.

Hi, Rick. Since Amendment 1 was not proposed to generate new funding, and mandates the allocation of an existing revenue stream to be set aside to fund environmental projects, I don't see how this could be "more government." It does not increase taxes for Floridians. As soon as Gov Scott took office he began mandating drug tests for anyone receiving government benefits. That was a bust and eventually ruled unconstitutional by a Federal judge, but it seems that the Rep only complain about bigger or more government when it's for something they oppose.

I do agree, however, that the wording was convoluted.

Hey Nancy,

They had to create a State Constitutional Amendment (Money), we has to add it to the Ballot (Money), All of the political marketing in order to get passed (not direct tax dollars, but the money was spent by "Non-Profits").

So the major issue at hand, since it technically was a redirection of an existing revenue stream, why was all the above necessary?

We also gave the EPA unprecedented controls over our water ways (ponds, lakes, drainage). If necessary the EPA can step in and declare a body of water "Federally Protected".

From a best practice standpoint, they tied this issue to Residential Fertilization guidelines, adding additional license and CEU requirements, basically more income from Small business.

I voiced my opinion throughout this post, this issue is "Common Sense". Stop over using fertilizers (this Amendment does not change agriculture practices). So why is it necessary to amend our constitution, give more power to the EPA and redirect funds.

What have we done with that 33% before now? We basically robbed Peter to Pay Paul. And we spent our tax dollars in order to do it. That is my "too much government argument" in a nutshell.

Have a great day!
