That is funny with the fed.

Keep in mind that vacation/2nd homes don't the get property tax benefits provided under the Save Our Homes Act.

This year is the best time to buy in our area. You have your pick...there are thousands of desparate homeowners that need to sell. There are foreclosures and short sales on most blocks. You can negotiate great terms!

Go with fundamentals, that is where housing prices are going to in 2009. the corrupt enron boys are DONE making a filthy rich profit inflating usa homes, creating deficit consumer spending and massive foreclosure and homelessness nationwide, ALL of which falls back on the taxpayers, via subsidizing welfare, food stamps, jails, social programs etc.
Condos cost 39,000 to build 15 years ago, houses incl. land cost today 69,000 for a new 3-4 bedroom house cost, these are material labor and lot fundamental COSTS.
Property taxes will decline when people realize a home is a sanctuary and NOT a way to con and rob for profit.
I will vote for any pres candidate that advocates housing and rent PRICE CONTROLS as building material and labor costs have not gone up in 30 years. The enron boys jacked the housing markets out of cost range to rob home buyers and rob owners via over assessment FRAUDULENT ASSESSMENT and over taxation.
Be very careful, I heard all the enron crook boys are going into property management now and will be trying to criminally rob homeowners thru criminally INFLATED HOA fees.
These enron crooks will tell ant LIE to extort money from renters buyers and homeowners, if your HOA fees are jacked, inflated, your association is run by an enron type criminal that needs to be OUT-ED and, or sued for fraud, misappropriation of HOA funds and criminal deriliction of duty, these gougers need to go to jail and be DISGOURGED of any criminal gains due to fraud deceptive practice and book cooking just like the enron brteed crooks were jailed fined and disgourged in 2000 to 2004 of stock market swindles.
Buy a nice 2-3 bedroom at auction for 69,000 or a condo at auction for 18,000 and make sure taxes and hoa are lowered accordingly. Enron home condo hoa tax and rent prices are not comming back.
The enrot men will have to devise new ways to ROB people, as fraudulently inflating the home market did not work. Corrections will continue for at least the next decade, fundamentals and demographics, supply and demand set price, there is an over supply of housing in usa and florida, end of story.

everyone knows building materials and labor and everything else has gone up in thirty years. He must of lost his retirement to enron. all his eggs in one lousy basket.
