Anyone know what they are and what to do about them? I'm thinking they must come in the house when door is open, but we don't go in and out that much. We have been here about a yeast and haven't had this problem before.

Gnats? AKA, "No-see-ums" because they are tiny.
Nasty but not harmful.

could be, although I thought no see ums were hard to see and very tiny. These are small but you can definitely see them. We are just hoping they don't breed and there will be a lot of them!

Fruit Flies?? If so fill a custard cup with cider vinegar and wrap plastic wrap around it, prick tiny tiny holes in top, the cider vinegar draws them in but they can't get out. They are very annoying

Did you bring a new plant in or fruit? Put fruit in refrigerator and take that plant outside and wash with a mix of dishwashing detergent (Dawn) and water to get rid of them off the plant. As njkate said put out cider vinegar (or leftover wine) with plastic wrap on top and tiny tiny holes in top overnight in the area they are seen in. Next morning you should see the cup full of dead flea like bugs. Repeat as necessary.
