I live downtown! I LOVE it. I have a one bedroom and I pay $625. Franklin Arms has one bedroom apartments for under $700 I believe. There's also apartments in the Patio de Leon but I don't know how much they charge. If you don't want to be right in the heart of downtown, you can look along West First Street, maybe around the First Street Village. Oh! Also, check out some of the high rises. I know some of the units are being rented out, I just don't know if any of them are one bedrooms.

Do those units have central A/C?
are there a lot of break-ins in downtown?
Thanks

Yeah, they have central a/c. Most places do. I haven't really heard about any break-ins since you have to be buzzed into the buildings. I think it's pretty safe living down here.

Oh, parking may be an issue. Depending on the building, you may need to pay for the parking garage or for their own lot.

Also, if you are seriously considering moving downtown, beware of the road construction. All the roads are getting bricked so it's a mess right now. Every other street or intersection is closed off. I feel like I live in a maze! The roads that are done look super nice so it's kinda worth it.

How should I go about getting a list of Apt. Complex names located downtown Ft. Myers?
-Is there a paper copy, containing all Apt complex names, available?
-Is there a site online for this info as well?
Thanks

Cougar31, there are not apartment complexes in the traditional sense. There are Apartment buildings (converted buildings to lofts or hotels). Also, there are several condo complexes right on the river close to downtown.

Look on a search for "River District".

There is the "Dean" (a building with apartments). Look for the Vue (and I am at a loss on some of the other river side condos).

Bear in mind, these are "urban" dwellings, so full force downtown is going and expect to have parking problems as mentioned.

Also, there are things a little south of downtown that are up and coming (more parking and newer amenities and shops... standard fair tho, First Watch, Starbucks, etc.).
