Smile Moving to Ft. Myers & need help w/ job search

I am recently married and moving to Ft. Myers from Atlanta. I have been searching the web for several jobs and have not found anything yet. I am currently a restaurant manager at Red Lobster but would like to get out of this industry due to the long 60+hr work weeks. My husband worked as an engineering inspector in Naples,Fl. 3 years ago prior to moving to Atlanta. He has been unlucky in finding work here and therefore decided to move to Ft. Myers. Does anyone have any suggestions for us?

Ugh. The job market is a little slow. I'd suggest checking some of the regular websites (careerbuilder, monster), the government/judicial websites (governmentjobs.com, leeclerk.org, jobs.myflorida.com), and some of the larger companies in the area websites (Publix, Target, etc.). You could check the newspaper too, but it's been a little light on the help wanted section lately.

it's going to be tough to get a decent job now that we are heading into the offseason. You might have luck with the county, FPL, or LCEC; however, all of those are facing budget talks.
