And no one in Fort Myers or Cape Coral will ever be taken to NCH. Unless, of course, they are in Collier County or Naples and it’s the only option.... buts that’s a one in a million chance.

That assumes no one travels outside CC

I'm sure someone will come on and say it is a great hospital, but it's not, especially compared to the competition on the other side of the river. I wouldn't take my cat to the Cape Coral Hospital.
I agree - been there twice in the last 14 months and would not recommend it to anyone. The second time I was taken by ambulance and had no choice, they take you to the nearest hospital. Health Park is the place to go. I recently drove myself from Cape Coral to the Health Park Emergency Room (about 15 miles away) at 5 a.m. rather than go to Cape Coral Hospital. BTW CCH got the lowest hospital rating in our area recently. Not only is Health Park a great hospital, it is beautiful also. Being in nice surroundings when you are ill or working is always a plus.

Thanks so much for the replies so far. It's surprising to hear such negative views of CC- the recruiter makes it sound much different! LOL She said the people in the area love that hospital and won't go anywhere else! I know they are part of the same health system, but Health Park isn't an option right now.

We will see how the opportunity progresses, but I am keeping it on the table until I see the area.

My ex is an RN, and we were talking a couple of nights ago, and I told her about this thread. Her comment was "OMG, I wouldn't go to work there if I were starving."
