I am just curious as to the nice areas in Naples Florida. We may have a job offer from there and wanted to find out info on the area first. What kind of home can you get for $300k? Would it be in a nice area? How are schools? What is the shopping/dining/nightlife like? Any info would be helpful.

You can get a decent home for 300K in a nice area.
Public schools do not have a good reputation in general. Some are better than others. The proportion of students from non English speaking homes plays a large role in this. There are restaurants and shopping everywhere in all price ranges. Naples generally is an expensive place to live. The housing slump has somewhat tempered this, but it is still expensive. Nightlife-depends on what you want. If you are looking for big city stuff-forget it. Naples is primarily a town for wealthy retirees-although there are many, many families. Traffic is awful in the winter. It would help if we had more details-where would your job be? This will have a huge impact on your commute time. We can also suggest areas that would be an easier commute. How many kids, spouse etc, would also be helpful. |
