Default Vacationing on Ft. Myers Beach in August ...

Hi,

I live in Orlando and we are coming to Ft. Myers Beach for a beach vacation in August. I have two young children (6 & 7) and don't know the kid-friendly, family friendly fun stuff to do there. We have been to Sanibel , but this will be the first time in Ft. Myers with the kids. Any fun kid stuff / places to go ideas would be greatly appreciated! Because if the kids are occupied and having fun. mom can have a vacation too! Thanks in advance.

Well you can check out Germain Arena in Estero, its not far and they have Ice hockey games and ice skating for the kids. Cape Coral which is a hop skip from Ft. Myers has Sun Splash which is a water park. Thats all I can think of right now, only because I'm more familiar with the Naples area..

Everglades Wonder Garden located in Bonita Springs on Rt. Old 41

Every kid loves the Beach - You can take San Carlos Blvd. from Ft. Myers Beach all the way to Bonita Beach. Once you get to Bonita Springs, you can take the kids to play miniture golf or watch the sun set at Doc's Beach House - they have good pizza. You can rent a canoe or kayak in Estero on Rt. 41. Visit Coconut Point Mall. There is a movie theater there.

also in Bonita they have a wonderful minature golf place thats safari themed with waterfalls etc that the kiddies would love. Its called Golf Safari. Its minutes from the beach also. If the kiddies can't ice skate then there is a rollerskating rink called Generations and there is also another called Skatium.

Here are some links..

Germain Arena

Sun Splash
