Cape Coral Crime? I don't get it???

And what's the only solution to grow houses? Wholly legalize cannabis. It's not a "Drug", you guys need to do some research about pot, it's effects on the brain are not any worse than alcohol which we completely accept and unlike legal substances such as alcohol and tobacco is actually yields some health benefits. You all know you smoked it when you were in high school and your still fine. Heck, I didn't even smoke weed when I was in high school and I still don't, but if it were legal, we wouldn't have to worry about people buying houses and stealing electricity and pumping houses with chemicals in places like Cape Coral. Simply stated, if it were legalized, than it wouldn't be a crime.

PS- About scum that's supposed to be moving from Tampa and Lauderdale, there are way better (even safer) places than Cape Coma that are near Tampa, Miami, Orlando, all of the major cities. Go look up Weston, completely exceeds any Florida city and most US cities in safety and yes it's in Broward County and has a lot of people that might be a different color than you or might have been born in a foreign country. And no, it's not even surrounded by festering ghettos, it's surrounded by other areas that are also nicer than Cape Coral. And of course, similar examples abound outside of the other cities, although yes the cities themselves aren't so great. So don't blame the cities for "ruining" Cape Coral (Which hasn't even experienced any major dramatic crime increase, it was up a scary 5% in 2007, better put burglar bars up!).

Who used the word "scum"? You already looked up Weston, and told us about it, so we dont have to, thank you At least for my part, I didnt place "blame" for "ruining" Cape Coral. The place was a smoldering wreck when I got here, it's just gotten worse is all. As far as the 5% statistic is concerned, consider the source...reminds me of a line from a contemporary song, "When they own the information, they can bend it all they want".

Is there anything better to do in Cape Coral? Really though, cannabis is not any more addictive than alcohol, in fact it's even less addictive. Of course we have alcoholics in our society but consider which societies have the least alcoholics; the ones with the least regulations. Point being, potheads are going to continue to be potheads, everyday people who like to toke it up once in a while are going to keep on toking it up, and people who don't' use the stuff like me aren't going to change their stance.

Totally legitimate. I don't know anything about Cape Coral PD so I'm not going to speak for them, but it's true that a lot of departments under report. All I know is there are cops all over the place in your area and I'm afraid to go one MPH over the speed limit. That still doesn't mean they are fighting crime though. I still think the last thing wrong with Cape Coral is the crime rate, and no I really don't like Cape Coral at all but I give every place credit where it's due. It's just that Cape Coral reminds me more of a place to die than live, and I think that's a horrible envrionment for children.

About the comparison to my part of the state, I just saw you cite the major cities as a bad influence on Cape Coral. While I'm sure some of the scum from the big counties/cities did move there, most of them prefer Leigh Acres. Of course there are good people that move there because they can't afford the cities (I know somebody who is hanging onto a job in Sunrise and commutes ALL THE WAY across the alley from Leigh because they can't afford the east coast), but what happened to their neighborhood is awful. The problems from the "affordable" parts of the major counties followed them. Point being, I just can't stand it when some of the smaller or medium size cities decline and they blame it all on Hillsborough or Broward or wherever else like they are pure cancer.

Legalize pot like that will solve all the problems. The way that society is squeezing out the legal tobacco smoker I don't think that will happen. On my last plane trip (after a snow storm 3/9/08) things were all screwed up long delays. Well it was no problem for the alcohol drinker to get they're fix whether it be in the terminal or on the plane but for the smoker tough luck. After I landed in Fort Myers going almost 12 hours without a smoke I was not a little pissed I was way beyond that and my poor wife took most of the grief.
Our priorities are a little screwed up, yes smoking is bad so is drinking, DWI fatalities will keep going up(I haven't seen a smoker cause a fatality accident) but they still build more non smoking bars and rest. to please the drinker. I have to look over my shoulder when I smoke in public to make sure I won't offend somebody. Do those same people say anything to the stumbling drunk that knocks into them on the way to they're car I don't think so.
I've gotten off track here a little but I don't think legalizing pot will solve anything, that will just put more legalized high drivers on the road and it's bad enough now. Government needs to bring some industry in here and get some real jobs for people, unemployment goes up crime goes up simple economics.

Actually you can vaporize pot and it's not bad for you at all. I didn't say it will solve all of the problems, but it will almost certainly solve the "Grow house of the world" problems.
