Does the humidity get too oppressive in the summer?
We were thinking we could come back to Oregon for the summers.
Now, we see they are having fires. Is that normal?

The humidity and heat depend on the individual's tolerance. Personally I think the humidity is oppressive in the summer. Others can tolerate it quite well.

Brush fires are normal for this time of year.
