Port Charlotte Fishing!
I am new to the area - sort of. I am looking for a nice quiet pier to go fishing from today in or near Port Charlotte/Punta Gorda.
Can anyone direct me?

There's a nice pier in Charlotte Harbor that is public. It's just before the bridge going over to Punta Gorda--on Bayshore Dr. Another place you might want to try is Gilchrist Park in Punta Gorda. They have a pretty nice pier there as well.
