I just paid lots of money take a Cape Coral trip to look for houses. Luckily I picked a hotel on Sanibel Island, so it seems my trip will not be a complete waste. The sale home prices were so attractive.
Most of them were in Lehigh Acres and NE Cape Coral. Sigh. I have read many posts. Along with the assessments, it seems that the drugs and gangs are a huge problem. I have one comment, though. Why are they busting people for selling marijuana? There are not really any jobs in Florida, maybe they should just legalize weed. I don't think it's so harmful, and the ppl there need a way to make a living. Shame on the police force. |

All I have to say is "tru dat"! It seriously could turn the SW Florida economy from volatile to viable, and the ones who want to smoke the stuff will keep on smoking it and truthfully aren't hurting anyone. Legalization could also eliminate the layer of gang violence associated with smuggling an illegal substance.

...all drugs should be legalized....sold at drug stores...and taxed...then maybe we could pay off the national debt...the only problem...is that like cigarettes and alcohol...how many people/children will decide to try/use them since they are now legal????? Then of course, after legalizing all drugs...we will have to worry about how many people are now going to start driving their vehicles around town...more accidents...more deaths...more bills to pay for the aftermath...well maybe it's not that great of an idea... ... |

If it's legal, LESS children will use them because it would actually be regulated. Do you think kids don't know where drug dealers are? Drug dealers certainly don't card! About the DUI risk, well, like I said, legalization takes the mystique out of the stuff, so you are going to have the same people out there driving under the influence that you do now, and probably not any more. And I am NOT for legalizing hard drugs, but I am for more efficient, less reckless enforcement.

i agree about making legal and regulating it, thats the reason it is illegal because it's to hard to regulate because it can grow wild and the seeds grow in the bud so what sold has potentially given the buyer his/her own little crops if they legalize it they have to stop raiding peoples houses and taking their stuff so what happens is the market floods and pot prices nose dive then what the goverment sells is more expensive then the street dealer does so i belive is that after raiding the house they turn around and resell it to make a profit and keep prices high.
(i just think it sound like our goverment) |

How about we just shoot anyone caught selling drugs to children. If your caught in the school yard, BANG! one shot to the left temple, on the spot. That should solve most of the problems mentioned above. SW Florida is already full up with drug addled, dozy, morons, as is most of the country....maybe why I cant get my lunch from the drive up window at Wendy's right. Maybe why cashier's cant make change. Maybe we need less of this brand of "tolerance", and not more?

...of course...there would have to be certain guide lines...but I have to admit...it is a great thought... ...Perhaps as time goes by...this country will wake up...and realize...jail is not supposed to be a country club...but better yet...if they did like some of the foriegn countries...and just cut off a body part...that might work tooooo![]() |

NO! Shoot 'em. If you just cut off a body part, bleeding heart libs will say you gotta put 'em on a govt dole, where we, the tax payer have to take care of them for the rest of their lives. So it opens the door to abuse of the system. We already have plenty of that as well. Again, I say this applies where abuse of children is concerned, adults (arguably) have the capacity to make decisions for themselves. ![]() MODS: Perhaps this thread should be moved to "Politics and other controversies"? |

Instead of shooting them lets cart them away and put them to work on chain gangs to do the public works projects that cost the taxpayers so much these days. Hey maybe they will develop a work ethnic and learn a trade some day. If that dosn't work than go back to plan A.
