Default Need help with Rental Homes in Ft. Myers area

We are moving to the Ft. Myers area next month (Feb.) and we are having trouble finding a rental home. I will be working at the South West FL airport (RSW) so I'd like to be close to that if possible.

We are looking for a nice home in a good area with a pool and a fenced yard that accepts pets.

Anybody have any links or names of quality rental agencies in the area?

Thanks in advance!

Gosh, BW, wish I could help, but our community won't allow renters to take in pets. Sorry. I think we're a bit far from RSW anyway - it's about 30-45 minutes away, depending on traffic. Good luck.

Yes, we are having a really hard time. We live on the west coast so it's not like we can run over and look at one. We can't find one that is nice with a pool and a fenced yard. We have found lots of crap that we wouldn't live in.

beerworf,
I could not believe it when I read your post. My friend owns a nice, but older home in Ft Myers. He also owns the home, a small but nice ranch right next door to him. He rents it, and needs a renter.
It does not have a pool, but the Y is right around the corner. It has a fenced yard and he does not mind pets.
Also, he works at the Ft Myers airport.........!

P.M. me if this sounds like something you are interested in.

Frank D.

Homehunters in Fort Myers usually has alot of rentals. Tell them you want to be near Daniels Pkwy. The rents have really escalated here, but you should be able to find a nice place for $1,000. per mo. Good luck.

Thanks for the replies. We decided we are going to fly in for a couple of days and find a place before we make our move. We think it will be worth it in the long run and get a better idea of what we are looking for.

[quote=deena10;2272406]Hi
LOL! Not laughing at you... it's just that I posted this back in January 07. I do wish you good luck in renting your home.

We did end up renting what we "thought" was a "nice" house in a "nice" area. We ended up renting a brand new house in (gasp) Lehigh Acres! I KNOW! But the good news is that our lease is almost up and we can move to a nicer area. I would NOT recommend Lehigh Acres to anybody to live in but we do enjoy Ft. Myers, Cape Coral and the beaches.
