Is this a nice area? Is it close to shopping, hospitals, etc?

How about crime in that area....is it a problem?

Husband and I are headed to Ft Myers/Cape Coral area this week to househunt.

I too am interested in buying a second home in Hawks Preserve. I'm new to this web site. Did anyone comment on the crime in this area..? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Jimmy
