Post Increasing Sales Tax and Lowering Property Tax is The best Way Out!

Property taxes are choking home owners and business owners. Increasing the sales tax from 6% to 10% would bring substanial revenue to the government and replace the revenue lost from lowering property taxes! Sales tax would not be increased and left at 6% on food and other essential items neccessary to live.

To tax consumption is progressive because it is by choice that we consume or buy things. The cost of living in Florida has increased to a unsustainable point where population growth will be negatively affected. We need to lower property taxes back to 1999 levels.

Not to worry, I think we're all gonna get a big, heaping, four year helping of "progressive" starting in January....I dont think there will be any jobs by 2012, just people panhandling from each other to pay their taxes....

BTW< I think this belongs in "politics and other controversies".....
