"First Watch" downtown, and the corner of College and 41. The one on McGregor has a real problem with nasty silverware and coffee cups.
Lunch and Dinners, "Stonewood Grill" is very, very nice. Upscale, but not to far over the top on pricing. Same plaza as the first watch on 41 and College.

I found a new breakfast/ lunch only restaurant. They are new, it's called Webster's Grill on Cypress Lake Drive behind the La-Te-Da salon near McGregor Blvd.
Very decent and extremely affordable!

Bonefish Grill in Bonita or south. Ft myers has the BEST food continously. It's consistant day to day. The Best Cosmo's also !!!!!! As a matter of fact, I just decided we are going there tonight. Good thing it's not "season" the place gets packed!!!! Great "Bang Bang Shrimp" appitizer, a tad hot and spicy. Great food, drinks, atmosphere. Just tell them that you are not in a rush so do not speed serve the food. It seems all eateries here in SW Florida rush you through. We alway order our drinks, appies and main courses separatly with time in between. We prefer to dine, not to speed eat when we go out. Dinners usually
take 2 hours plus when we go out. Bonefish Grill has call ahead seating, they do not take reservations, last check.

I'm not wild about Bonefish Grill. It's a chain. Bleah.
Do you know what I miss and would fly down to go there?
Stan's Subs in Bonita. Does anyone go there? Best subs and fabulous soup. Their New England Chowder is to die for. I'm from New England and it is the best, hands down. I always wanted to get the recipe from him, but I forgot. I still dream about that place.

Lani Kai's on Fort Myers beach. Its old and run down but you eat on the roof. When the sun goes down its beautiful. Not too expensive and food is good. I'll admit it looks it it was a hot spot in the 70's but the view is worth it. Also the best grouper sandwich is at a place called the Sandbar farther down on Fort Myers Beach. If you go to Lani Kai's on Thursady night they have a prime rib dinner for like 12 bucks. I have been there with at least 12 different friends and all liked the food.

It can get a little expensive, but you can't go wrong with H2 in Downtown Fort Myers.
They've got a great wine list, and the best tapas menu in Lee County....and the bathrooms are so nice that you'll wanna move in permanently.

If you're a fan of buffalo wings, there's an old dive-of-a-place on Old 41 in Bonita called Buffalo Chips. They have the best wings anywhere I've ever had them (agreed upon by several friends too). The service is sometimes lacking, and it's not the tidiest place, but the wings are always worth it. It's the one place I go out of my way to visit whenever I visit. Been there for decades. If you like "character", this is it.
We get them normal "hot", extra wet.

Right behind it, they busted up a brothel of kidnapped Mexican girls.
We use to go to Buffalo Chips all the time.
I can't believe no one on this forum has ever been to Stan's Subs in Bonita.
