We will follow the thread and be there at the appointed time. Sounds like fun.
We just got back from a two week vacation in Puerto Rico and are still in a party mood.

Regards,
Augie & Rosie

So where are we going on Thursday 2/12? We fly into Punta Gorda airport at 9pm. Grab a rental and should be at the hotel around 9:45.

Do you want to go to Harpoon Harry's? That's pretty close to the hotel. A bunch of us are going there Monday night, but I'm sure we could stand to go there again! That will be our last night there!!
OR do any of you "natives" have another idea?

Mr & Mrs Cool, Harpoon Harry's is fine, or there's another bar in PG that we have enjoyed as well. Can't remember the name, but it has a pirate ship bar outside. Touristy but fun. Actually, let's do Harry's. Haven't been there yet. email me your phone # j_velte @ hotmail.com and we'll call as we pull into the motel thurs night.

It's the Slipknot. We heard about it last time we were there, and went in. Didn't seem too special, we didn't see the big deal, but we noticed a poster that said there was a band that night, and we couldn't imagine where they were going to put a band, it was way too small! So we asked the bartender, and she said, the band will be outside. Outside? So we went out the BACK door, and WOW! COOL! Loved it!! Anywho, I'll send you my cell phone number, and we'll be at Harry's waiting for you!! See you in a week, looking forward to meeting you. mrs.cool

The River City Grille - is a really good restaurant and bar. The food is excellent.

Bin 82 is a really nice wine bar, and it has great small plate dinner / appetisers.

Deans - its a really nice Tex-Mex restaurant and it has a nice outside bar too.

All these are in Punta Gorda, but there are plenty of others around the area.
