I'd suggest you check out Pine Island (Bokeelia and St. James city). It's country, has some of the best fishing in the world and has plenty of land zoned for agriculture. It has a small town feeling that's hard to find in Florida. A really nice place with 2+ acres will most likley cost more than 200K but If you're not afraid of a fixer, or just want to buy land and build then there are plenty of options in that price range. If you go up to $300K then your possiblities are endless. For acreage on a barrier island that's VERY reasonable. We live there and walk or ride our bikes to the water all the time. There are several access points for fishing, kayaking, picnicing, etc.. but no real "sandy beaches". Maybe that's why it's affordable.
Many of my neighbors have horses so I know they're allowed.
It may or may not be what you're looking for, but I'd suggest you at least check it out.

I have not run across any sites that provide this other than Country Homes, Farms, Ranches, Recreational Property & Land - United Country Rural Real Estate and CountryHomesofAmerica.com - Country Homes for Sale, Farm Homes for Sale, Ranch Homes for Sale. Good luck in your search. It's not an easy one online.

I couldn't find anything in Bokeelia that had more than 1/3 acre, although I'm looking in a lower price range, but not by much. BugQueen has a family, so I doubt if she wants a <1,000 s.f. house. This place is smaller than my 2 bedroom apartment and it's listed for $284,000.

I agree that Pine Island and Bokeelia are very pretty, however. Very laid back atmosphere.
