Renting is VERY competitive right now, especially in the Naples/Ft. Myers area. A lot of people are trying to sell their condos/homes and until they can, they try to rent instead. There is seasonal rental and then there is off seasonal rental. In season it is very, very competitive. Off season, which will tend to be long term rental, is difficult also.

Hate to say this, but from our experiences, it may be a bad time to sell, but it is also a bad time to try to rent out a place also.

Just to share my experience, In January my rent was reduced by $100. That's how badly owners don't want good tenants to move. I probably should have asked for more!
