Default Punta Rassa Condo

My wife& I are considering purchasing a condo at Punta Rassa Condos in Ft Myers FL. We are interested in impartial views on the pitfalls we might encounter or the quality of life there. We are also interested in a renovation of the interior. (New Kitchen, cabinets, appliances, new bathrooms, tile walls, and floors etc.). Will we be able to do this work ourselves as homeowners? We are willing to comply with County permits where needed and Association rules. But will they let us do the work ourselves?
Thanks
Lou Pellegrini

My advice would be to read the association rules carefully and also ask your attorney for his/her interpretation of them. My sister lives in a condo (not in FL) and I'm always surprised to learn about what she can or cannot do. I'm sure you would need to submit your plans to the association before beginning renovations. Did you read the association rules? Click on the blue link that says "index."
