Default Appliance Service Contract

I live in a condo in Fort Myers. I would feel more comfortable having a service contract that would cover my a/c, washer, dryer, etc

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Every service contract we had (mostly with Sears) expired JUST BEFORE we had something go wrong. lol.

The only time we were covered was recently when we bought a house (16 years old) and the seller gave us a warranty on stuff like water heater, A/C. The water heater quit working on a holiday weekend (that's happened to us at least 3 times over the years--always a holiday) and hurrah! we called the warranty # and they sent a plumber to replace it. That saved maybe $600 materials/labor.

We liked the plumber so much we had him back a few months later to change some faucets and do other work for us.

I have Sears and am very happy with it.

You may want to look at Appliance Repair by Mr. Appliance | Service, Parts, Kitchen, Franchise and see if they offer service contracts. I've had them do some work on stuff not covered by my Sears contract. Their work was excellent.
