Default Moving to flordia?

I wanted to know when you think it's the best time to move to flordia. I've been living in honolulu, hawaii all my life and i've been struggling here with my husband and my 4 month year old baby since housing is here are just to darn to expensive to afford, and everything else. The economie is just terrible here. Were living homeless in the car for now and we are saving money to get out of here.. Life is really hard in hawaii, UNLESS YOU HAVE LOTS OF MONEY. What is a the safest and cheapest to live in flordia? AND WHAT IS THE BEST COMMUNITY COLLEGE IN FORT MYERS?

Not certain what you mean by "the best time". Come any time, SW FL is what it is.
Not trying to lecture you here, but quite frankly, it sounds as if you might be getting out of the frying pan, and into the fire with a move here. This is the foreclosure capital of the WORLD. There's a reason for that.......Jobs are few and far between to be had around these parts. Things are bad here, and getting worse. And that's likely to be the case almost anywhere you go right now.
If you are saving up money to make an escape to someplace else, I'd say you need to do alot of research, and choose very wisely, as you may end up stranding yourself there for some time to come. It sounds as if you may have some family? or friends? in Honolulu, that may help you thru some tough times? Make certain you really want to move to a totally strange place, where the opportunities may not be any better, or worse than where you are....
FWIW, I have heard Texas, and parts of Oklahoma are doing about the best as far as economy right now. In Florida, the panhandle area is fairing the best.
As for your last question, the only community college in this area is Edison C.C., and there are a few private universities as well.
That's just my take on it, others will likely have more to add......

I second what yachtcare has said only to add that Edison is no longer a community college it has gone state. In these trying times I think I would be near family to maybe get some help and support. Good luck I can't even imagine how tough it is living out of a car I wish you the best.
