Now THAT's funny!

Always wanted to hook up a bank of 10" speakers and wait for someone playing rap at a stop light.......and then BLAM....give them a dose of Little Richard.

I cannot believe that the generation of "Peace and Love and Hippies" could be so uptight about kid's music. Doesn't anybody remember how horrified our parents were when the Beatles or Stones were on Ed Sullivan's show? How they got called "dirty hippies", their music was loud, jungle music, etc. They were all criminals and drug addicts? For the first generation to ever REALLY rebel against their parent's standards, y'all sure have a bunch of tight anuses.

Lighten up, they're kids. They're doing the same thing we did 30 or 40 years ago. Just like telling kids they can't date so and so, the more you protest and forbid, the more the kids are going to do something. 99% of the joy is in the rebellion and the outrage it engenders in their elders.

I don't think it's being uptight if you don't want your windows to rattle late at night. I love dogs, but I don't want to live next to people who keep them tied up at night barking. (it's also cruel)

Regarding the "peace & love hippies," I don't recall rapping about killing cops or doin' a ho.

Agreed. I enjoy kids, teens, etc.......but I give and expect respect from all people, including fellow drivers. It is just rude to blast your music all over. We all have radios, CD's, ipods in our cars to listen to what we want to listen to......I do not need or want to hear anyone elses stuff. I think one is pretty self centered and rude to do so.

Mark me down for being in the bass thumping hater camp, but how many of you are calling the kettle black in a generational sense? By that I mean, how many of you used to run around with Hooker Headers and dual Thrush mufflers annoying the heck out of people at 2 A.M when you dropped your date off back in your own day?

Motorcycles? I rate those annoying loud pipe Harley's right up there with the thumpers...

I guess they will be deaf by the time they reach 28 years old and will want the pitty party when they cant hear and blame it on something or someone else.
I too like music and dont play it soo loud that I need the attention of others or a hearing aid. And I do like all kinds of music, but I dont subject others to my music because they may not like it.
Why do we have to indure the music when it is so loud and all you can hear is the bass? Maybe thats what these young drivers need is attention. Mommy and daddy didnt pay enough attention to these kids and now we have to show them attention.

Any comments, questions, etc?

I agree with you 100%. There are laws about disturbing the peace for a reason (It's called Quality of Life) and they should be ENFORCED! No one has the right to blast bone rattling, window rattling cRAP noise at you any more than burn tires or blast blinding light at you. It's disturbing, distracting and stressful. I couldn't care less if these self centered brats blow their limited brains out with iPods but I shouldn't be forced to listen to that revolting noise.

Amen! It's revolting, degenerate noise whose main themes are murder, violence, belligerence, drugs, rape, homophobia, misogyny. The "rappers" are laughing all the way to the bank, "Hey look at stupid whitey, he's actually buyin' this cr@p". Everyone should be free to listen to whatever they want to; no one should be FORCED to.
