Default Cape Coral the next Naples ?

I have seen this and it cracks me up. Cape Coral could be the next Naples was the sales pitch but its far from Naples, Naples was formed by the very rich in the 1920s as a playground in the winter, Cape Coral was formed in the late 1950s as a land scam, Naples has a white sand beach on the gulf of mexico, Cape Coral has a small man made beach (2100') on the tea colored river, I never seen the link. And now the dreamers don't see it.

"A frustrated developer is leaving Cape Coral and taking his $500 million downtown project with him."

Wow. Now that is interesting...

Default Cape Coral = Another Naples

Ludicrous

Quoted from the article linked above:

"Cape Coral has the potential to be the next Naples, but there is no vision."

This developer has to be the one BLIND AS A BAT.

Excuse me sir, I have seen Cape Coral and Cape Coral is NO downtown Naples.

Wasn't that the way the famous speech went in the "political debate?"

Default Oh Fudge!!!

I got the political analogy wrong... Naples was supposed to be first... then Cape Coral.

Oh, I got the analogy.

I think it was Lloyd Bentsen and Dan Quayle in the vp debates. Bentsen told Quayle: Senator, I served with Jack Kennedy: I knew Jack Kennedy; Jack Kennedy was a friend of mine. Senator, you're no Jack Kennedy.

Yeah, and Cape Coral is no Naples!
