Area, Activities, Value?

Since nobody has responded, I'll post something so you don't feel left out. I doubt if you'll get too many comparisons from people with experience. Lakewood is in Sarasota and Lely is in Naples. That's a difference of over 100 miles. One is an 8,500 acre planned community and the other was built as a country club and is about 3,000 acres. Other than that, you'll probably have to tour both places to get your own opinion.

You weren't thinking of Lakewood in Naples, were you? Entirely different from Lakewood Ranch.

We looked at Lely Resort 2 years ago. I just thought they were overpriced then and a little too old for all that money. What about Lely Ole? They are only about 2 or 3 years old and have all the ammenities (clubhouse, town square, pools, etc.), but I am not sure if they have single families. I think they are mostly townhomes. I know the prices have gone down from the $400,000s when they were first built to the low $200,000s now.
