Default Thoughts on the Iona area

Does anyone know what the Iona area is like?.... population, crime, average age.
I know it is close to the beach and lots of stores, restaurants but not sure about the rest.
Thanks !

It seems to be a fairly quiet, safe area. Never hear of anything much going on there. It is a somewhat "mixed" area, of older(but well cared for) manufactured housing parks, with alot of walled/gated communities that were built within the last ten years. The area is bordered by the extremely upscale "Gulf Harbor" and has "St Charles Yacht & Racquet Club" at the end of Iona Rd. I guess the older "Kelly Greens" complex and "MacGregor Woods" could be considered part of the Iona area as well. Overall, a fairly upper end area.
