I am a certified home inspector that performs Chinese drywall inspections. It has been my experience that several of the homes in Coral Lakes have Chinese Drywall. I would definitely have a Chinese Drywall inspection performed. You can view the model homes and stop and ask residents as you tour the community about their experiences and their likes and dislikes. I'm sorry I missed your post. Just be careful, although I'm sure there are many homes there that are okay. As posted above, Chinese Drywall has been an issue in many homes in Coral Lakes. See this thread

Make sure you read the newspaper articles on Coral Lakes too. I feel sorry for people who live there and need to sell, because the publicity certainly must have hurt home sales in that development.

Consumers should know that "Chinese" drywall inspections are an environmental issue and a home inspectors "standard of practice" does not cover odorous or "Chinese" drywall inspections. Home Inspectors errors and omissions insurance does not cover "Chinese' drywall inspections.

Hire an AmIAQC board Certified Indoor Environmentalist that carries E&O for Odorous or "Chinese" drywall inspections.
