What's going on down there and why aren't the cops on this?

Boston/Cambridge area here isn't Disneyland, but we have nothing really to compare with what I'm reading on this thread, just isolated incidents most of the time...

The US crime index is 320.

Higher is worse, lower is better. These are per capita.

Boston is 523.

Fort Myers is 705.

Bear in mind though, that we are giggling at the neighborhoods that the OP chose to drive through on a three-wheeled bike. They are very bad neighborhoods in Fort Myers.

Get away from the center of Fort Myers (but don't go to Lehigh Acres!) and crime is better.

Cape Coral boasts low crime. I don't know. Things are worse than they use to be, that's for sure. But, of course, it is still better than Fort Myers.

If you want to really be safe, go to Estero.

Actually, one of my exploration routes was High street from just north of Michigan avenue south to Martin Luther King blvd, then west to Fowler street, then to Edison bridge. Other streets explored include but are by no means limited to Crawford, Palm avenue, Edison avenue (including around the city of palms park and yes even the library), Jefferson street, Michigan avenue, McGregor Blvd, Maple drive, most of Crawford, Royal Palm avenue, and much of Broadway avenue.

I have a friend who is a sheriff and HE doesn't like to drive through Dunbar....
Apparently, Fort Myers is a much bigger place to explore by bike than I originally thought. But I will be eventually going back to Fort Myers, and this time I will rent a faster bike and explore much more of Fort Myers, perhaps even including Harlem Heights and hopefully all of the other neighborhoods that I missed the first time. But one thing is for sure; due to my great experiences, Fort Myers is now my official future home city. And so what if there are a few African American and hispanic people living in Fort Myers? As long as they treat me well, race means nothing.

So you are saying that you are the original poster that has now been banned?

I certainly never mentioned race. All of those areas are populated by all races and ethnicities. In fact, Pine Manor may be equally divided. That's the last reason I wouldn't live
or drive my three-wheel through there.

WHAT IS THE DEAL with everyone pulling the race card out? I mean this is getting rediculous here.... When did I ever say a thing about race? I am a hispanic people dude. A few..... FEW???? Are you serious??????? Did you have a welders helmet on? Keep your eyes closed? Fort Myers is all yours, you can have it. One more week for me I go to Estero, and Thank God for that...

Take a nice night time stroll through here, or in Dunbar or on MLK and see how nicely you will be treated... LOL!!!!!!!!!! I work here so everyone knows me, but I still get nervous walking in here at night on an emergency call.

In a mental institution with daily therapy, heavy rehabilitation, and brainwashing! Tgvft, commercial airliners will not and do not even fly over Dunbar because commercial airliners have been shot down over Dunbar before!!! The most recent of which was just barely a month ago when TWA flight 571, enroute from Fort Myers to Houston, was shot down over Dunbar by a home made Rocket Propelled Grenade, killing everyone onboard and several on the ground, and destroying several homes. And the suspects were not on the plane either; they were on the ground!!! As for the Ricochet, you would have been safer sitting in the basement of an imploding abandoned building. Shootings take place there about 25 times a night, even inside the club; just a few weeks ago, someone threw a home made pipe bomb into the crowd on the dance floor, killing 21 people and injuring 63 others, and causing $9,500 damage to the club. Pine Manor has shootouts that rival the one in North Hollywood, California. Cop killers live in Pine Manor, Tgvft! They also live in Dunbar and hang out at the Ricochet! What you did from June 2nd to June 9th was extremely dangerous and insane, and if I were a judge, you would be sentenced to 10 years in a mental hospital!
No offense, by why did you resurrect a thread that's been dead for nearly 2 months just to be sarcastic?
