I don't see anything about Port Charoltte being #1. Just in the top 25.
Lets also stress that this is about places to retire to.

Ya hiknapster, I fixed his link (there was something funny about it) and then went back in the old posts and saw what was going on.
Punta Gorda is a nice peaceful little town, but there was a reason I used to commute to Naples from here eveyday.

Nope.
It's a great place to retire for those looking for what it has to offer...which is obviously geared towards those 65 & older, from the midwest, and low to middle class.
No one has ever debated that nor are they now...

The thing about PC is, there is cheaper and middle class homes there. Funny how when you bash the place you never mention the High end homes, there are many million dollar homes in PC, but of coarse that dosen't fit with the negitive picture you are trying to paint of the area. Port Charlotte has something for everybody, at all price ranges.
And what's wrong with people from the midwest?? |

And it's an affordable retirement destination for a specific type of retiree.
