Once again, this is Knoxville, TN. Not Florida. I don't want anyone to be misled.
Many of my better to do customers (Sanibel, mostly) tell me alot of what is going thru their minds as they navigate thru this depression.

Two tidbits stand out in my mind...

One woman, says while many still have plenty of money, they simply refuse to part with it, unless it is an absolute necessity, and then, they seek out the bargains.

Another guy, big in commercial R.E. typically comes to Sanibel every year with a NEW 7 series BMW. This year came back with an '06 7 series, with fewer miles than his one year old vehicle had. Again, seeking out the bargain........

A common theme seems to be, that until the insane gubmint spending spree ends, they arent spending their money on anything they dont absolutley have too.......Sadly, if the big guys arent spending, there's nothing much for the rest of us to have trickled down on us.............
