Oh, and to keep things on track.....monay moaney money money omoney moenyo nemoy omoey moey momeony ome omy omomo momoeoyom money omoye money omeyn moey omney moenyeynoem eymeon yenom yenom eynome money money money money......just picture a baboon jumping up and down dancing in circles, wearing pants and a gold watch, throwing these paper things with numbers and faces in the air chanting and shrieking. Now picture a human - oh, wait, I repeat myself. money is like a gun. there's nothing wrong with either of them, just what you do with it. so, what's happenin money wise demographically? maybe i should just follow the first lambourghini i see and stalk the driver, but then again, the probability of seeing two at the same time (synthetic polymers tend to attract) is, ah fooey, my plans been schmangled to bits.

- hey, what'd'ya think of city/data not letting you edit your posts whenever u want? BOLOGNA! From the U.S.S.R no less!

I think it was one of the Astors who said "millionaires have as much fun as rich people" ...one of the many gems from Forbes "Thoughts on the Business of Life."

The Design Centre would not have a restriction per se. Just describing my experience when there. Didn't buy anything. I am the sort of guy who installs his own blinds, from Home Depot. Might have been the slow economy. I got the feeling though that this was the sort of place set up for designers and the wealthy to shop, with people possibly flying in to shop there.

I am not at all looking for a business to open...I believe in staying in school as long as you can stand it, getting a bomb proof government job, investing in fixed income. One thing I learned from a particularly intense experience, you have to be an absolutely cold hearted driving sob to have a 50% chance at succeeding, and holding onto money is twice as hard as making it.

One idea I toy with, picking up on everyone going dog crazy...buy a mediocre 20 unit apartment building that has a large green area as part of the property, fence this off. Only accept dog owners as tenants (charge a premium). Include a dog day care/grooming/gift shop in the building.
The rental ad would say - 2 bedroom apartment, must have dog. I just don't have the time or energy to be bothered doing it.

My other advice is to go back and use that Harvard scholarship, primarily for the network you will be able to build there, secondarily, as a way to certify your genius, because in life, you will rarely be in the presence of persons who can tell how smart you are, so will require the PhD as proof. (speaking as someone who walked out on a Phd scholarship)..dumb dumb dumb

Teaching is a good base from which to wreak entrepreneurial havoc upon the planet.

something else: are you familiar with the Red Hat Society? I keep running into them sheparding "she who must be obeyed" to various historic home tours. This is a social group of older ladies, most of whom I believe are widows, who wear red hats and purple and have a paramilitary structure...like girl guides redux

Anyway, another idea I had was to set up a rental multiunit property geared toward drawing in the Red Hat Society gals, as a sort of bridge between sitting at home alone after burying the old guy, while still too young for the retirement residence. Call it Red Hat Sorority, paint it the Red Hat colors. Might be some copywrite issues to sort out.

i know, i know, i've been told countless times i should go to college and be albert einstein (and, i say this in a lowly manner, i have no pride in what i have, can do, etc, as glory does not belong to me, all things have been given to me (and don't forget yourself) from above, i am far from perfect and merely want to do good). I'd very much enjoy college, learning, etc. But i don't have 4-8 yrs to wait to start bringing a real income...besides, i can learn all i want myself, just won't have a paper that has these letters besides my name, i just need time, time is money. You know how the story goes. See, i want to start applying my education, as well as further it, to do so takes tools and technology, time and money - besides, i progress much faster myself, at my own pace, my own curriculum, real world tools, not a molded school format - which is far from the survival of the real world. I do think (no one really knows anything) i'm smart enough to make the kind of money you would with a college degree, and it needs to happen soon. And , it takes money to make money, i have quite a few business ventures i know i could capitalize on, just don't have the money to properly do it. But! I'll figure something out, always do. All input is appreciated.

teaching is a good base from which to wreak entrepreneurial havoc upon the planet.
go on, i'm intrigued...very intrigued...

Most of them are not widows. That is not what they are about. In fact, you can be 50 to join. And there is a younger group, also. The idea behind them is social in nature, but based on a poem that states that when one is older they can do as they like.

When I am an old woman I shall wear purple
With a red hat that doesn't go and doesn't suit me

What's so terrible about a little degradation once in a while? Who needs to fall in love anyway? At least if he's rich, there's some consolation when you look across the room in 10 years and think "Is this my life?"

Forget that feminist crap I used to preach and enjoy being mindless arm candy until he buys the farm. At least when your teeth rot, you can afford the best dental work, and when the rest of your body falls apart and dries up, you'll be sitting by your pool with your personal boy-toy to massage your troubles away. (Just don't sign any pre-nups.)

See, people are lost in their ways. Money is the answer to all things in this life, food, beauty, shelter, sex, survival, health, servants, time, pleasure, whatever you want in this world, you can buy, though, it will never be entirely genuine- the love, or happiness, or peace, security, euphoria, satisfaction, whatever the feeling you are innerly seeking. Even if you are to have riches beyond your wildest dreams and enjoy life thoroughly in every way imaginable (Impossible, by the way, sorry to burst that bubble), even to become a King or Queen amongst the entire Earth, all under your own subjection, any whim or will is carried out, any desire fulfilled, you are treated as a ' mortal god' nearly, the greatest life any could live in this world...it is merely a 100 year dream - for none can reverse the 'curse'(if you will...punishment of sin [if you believe in sin, hopefully by now however old you may be you have come to realize reality]) put upon man and this earth, that you must work, feel pain, and ultimately die. See how all man does is try to get what god has given and taken away. Man is working all his days for the dream of Eden...So, I have taken you to the highest point one can live in this life (oh, King) and...now you are dead, nothing, a rotting lifeless soulless corpse of flesh. So now I take you truly to the highest dream there is...(to be continued).

Oh, puhleeze!!

My grandfather used to say "Man makes plans and God laughs."

God gave us all a sense of humor too. (or He wouldn't have made us) Maybe you should start using yours.

God doesn't laugh so much as sigh at man, I feel as if God would only laugh from sheer happiness, not watching the stupid toiling of mankind. How would you feel if you just created the world and left man to ruin it(maybe not entirely 'ruin' it, but most certainly ruin perfection)...you just don't have a clear view about God... he created from love, not humor, am I right? Sure I see humor in life - just not in ways you see perhaps...

And of course people are lost in their insane ways, running about with false hopes and dreams of vanity, just 'knowing' how much better their life would be if they had a 60k$ corvette to drive across town in instead of their 5k$ toyota even though they get from point A to point B the same way the same time, then after they've worked 7 years to save up the money they finally buy that car and say 'yes my life is so much better now!' when in reality nothing
(of meaning) has changed, its all in your head, all of it,.. anything outside of food, water, shelter, survival etc. is an unnecessary want...but we want it ALL, more than we need, its never enough. But it's all understandable, it's cold outside, make a fire, or put on a coat, why wear the cheap coat when you could wear the expensive one? Got to drive to work everyday, why drive a p.o.s. when you could drive in luxury?
...But, this is not the immediate topic, the immediate topic is indeed moneyenom in naples / s.w. fl.

I must say, I did not stop reading after "Oh Puhleeze!!", a fool is one who will not listen to reason, by not even hearing what another says - even in contradiction, is merely proof of narrowmindedstubornignorance, do not be so set in your ways, for the way is ever changing. Don't believe you will always have all the answers. Please now, maybe you'll read my last reply. If you believe you are the more knowledgeable, let us prove with time who is truly so. If it is you, so be it, if I so you accept it.
It has been said.
A wise man knows the truth when he hears it, he learns to accept it, it is the fool who goes about ignoring it as he finds it easier to live a lie. Not many people want to hear the truth, b/c to accept it, they must accept that they have been wrong their whole life- I have accepted this, and I have come to know it is much harder than living a life of ignorant bliss. Though, carry on in good spirits, I surely will.
Please, be a little more -open- to new ideas before interrupting them, I apologize if you feel it is in order.
