"Apparently, the voters have had enough"

Sullivan new mayor of Cape Coral

Sullivan elected as Cape Coral’s next mayor | news-press.com | The News-Press

The epitome of corruption, Dolores Bertolini was also shown the door.

Of course this is not an instant solution to the cities internal problems, but it's an interesting start.

I even went to the early voting to make sure I got there. I am happy those two are gone.

I believe that much of CC's problems are systemic, and the politicians are puppets to the system. I dont believe there was corruption, instead the tail was wagging the dog. If our new council is properly supervised by the Mayor, look forward to a different way of doing business. Removal of a couple key fulltime administrators appears to be a logical place to begin and I support Mayor Sullivan and wish him the best.

The new guys claim to be penny-pinchers. I sure hope they can live up to their promises.

Well I wish our New Mayor and council my sincere best for their job ahead. This has been a long, hard road of blame, indescretion and favoritism which goes back many, many years. We shall see, can't be easy, have to start somewhere. Unfortunately, someone always knows the better way and quick to condem. Time for a fresh start IMO. Better or worse, we shall see.

The city manager resigned today. Can't say that I am unhappy about that.
