oeabel is on a distinguished road
Actually, we're here from the Midwest. I just find the Boston accents to be most easily identifiable. I was born in Florida and moved to the midwest as a child when my parents divorced.

I know I shouldn't be such a whiner and I'm really working on it. I read on another post that someone is sick of hearing people complain about everything they don't like and I know this is true. So, what I love about Florida is driving across Alligator Alley on an early misty morning when the sun is just rising... Taking my kids to the beaches and seeing how much fun they have... All the fascinating birds and animals... I wouldn't mind moving back to the midwest but there is a lot to love here too!

Future Snowbird is on a distinguished road
Default Future Snowbird to Estero Florida

My husband and I bought in Bella Terra in Estero Florida 3 years ago. We use it as a vacation home now but plan to become snowbirds when we can retire in about 5 years. Can't Wait! We have two kids in college. We try to take "long weekends" here and there and, let me tell you, when we're there, there are tons and tons of kids of all ages! They range from babies in carriages to 15, 16. We love to watch them play at the beautiful community pool. I personally would not want to be in a "senior" community. I am dying to find out what commercial buildings are going to be built at the entrance to Bella Terra. I really, really hope they decide not to put the low-income 1 bedroom apartments over stores! I'm personally hoping for a sports bar/resturant like "Beef-o-Bradys" or "Applebees" or something along that nature. My husband and I would never have to leave!
