Default Fort Wayne, Indiana...one of the best places to find a job

Pretty good article...

Help Wanted USA: Hiring Hotspots Emerge, but Mobility an Issue - Yahoo! Finance

It's not like the people in Fort Wayne, Indiana aren't sympathetic with America's unemployed. It's just that they're not seeing as many of them as the rest of us.

While most of the country is saddled with stubbornly high unemployment, numerous new construction projects and thousands of new jobs have made this Midwestern city of nearly 250,000 a pocket of relative prosperity.

"We've gotten not only a lot of jobs, but a lot of good-paying jobs," says Andi Udris, president of the Fort Wayne-Allen County Economic Development Alliance, "Sometimes you get lucky."

Fort Wayne added 8,000 jobs in the past year, almost half of the 18,000 it lost during the recession, including many in manufacturing. Its jobless rate has dropped by 1.3 percentage points to 8.1 percent.

That all helped to propel it to the top of the Fiscal Times' 10 Best Places to Find a Job list.

Thats how we keep people working hard in Indiana.
Fastest growing state in the northeast quarter of the US and home to the fastest growing region in the Midwest: Indianapolis also home to Super Bowl 46.
So Obiviously were doing something right and as i am starting to say Unemployment is becoming more of an excuse.

Navistar is this greedy Chicago Corporation.
Never ever going to buy trucks or anything from them.
Their idea of bypassing tax credit rules will not fly with me.
I encourage everyone to boycott Navistar.

Are you usually in the market for large load trucks?

Best Places to live in with a family are Indianapolis as the best choice followed by Fort Wayne.
Indianapolis is the largest city in Indiana and is the culture center and capital of the state well Fort Wayne is a mid sized 2nd largest city in the state that is close to Ohio and Michigan.
Both cities are nice but one advantage Indianapolis has is its interstate system and proximity to places like Chicago/Cincy/Fort Wayne/Louisville/St Louis/Dayton Ohio and so on.
Heck you can reach 75% of the United States population in 1 day from Indianapolis by driving.

Though I'm still unemployed I'm having better luck and more job leads than I did when I lived in California, where the OP of this thread lives. Though I'm still looking for a state with more mountains and scenery I can say Indiana is a lot better off than many states.

Thank you. But I must say the area I lived in had some very friendly people, and honestly the customer service at stores was much better all around. Many people think of Los Angeles or Hollywood and that's sad because LA gives the entire state a bad name. You get to the central coast area and the farm areas and the people will give you the shirt off their back. More people need to visit out there and see how beautiful it is....just don't bother moving there lol
