I'm from southern Indiana. Is Fort Wayne laid-back or stressful? Big city and metropolitan or sweet and country? Is there a lot of trees and nature stuff, or is it all built-up and corporate? I know Fort Wayne is the 2nd largest city, next to Indy. Is there a lot of crime up there, or are you guys pretty safe and mellow? Any folk music scene? Any artsy stuff, or is it all commercialized? I'm an enviranmentalist and I don't eat meat. Is Fort Wayne cool with transcendentalist philosophy? Please be honest, and I will be endebted to you forever. Thank you so much!

Areas, will be bad, and areas will be good. It's a typical growing city. Fort Wayne has really stepped up patrols to try and quell crime. If you don't mind a commute you could check around Fort Wayne. There are areas with LOTS of trees around there.

Like Columbia City. It's been coined... Tree city USA.

I feel pretty safe...every place has some crime. The local music scene is strong, as is the art scene. You can buy earthy crunchy food to your heart's content at the co-op.
