My family and I went to see Fort Wayne to decide on a move. We loved it! The weather was fantastic during our stay which made it easier to get a good look around.

The kids had a great time at the science museum and at that huge playground near one of the YMCAs.

All in all it got definite positives marks from all involved. My older daughter can't wait to go back and see the zoo!

Sounds great,,, lol, ya must have hit the area between the "blizzard" this past weekend and the floods of the prior week... But seriously, even tho' I'm hillbilly and don't cater too much for these flatlands, FtW itself and the surrounding area ain't too shabby. Once ya get past the frigid howling winter winds, the flooded low and highlands, the plains filled with corn and soybeans and more corn and more soybeans... its not bad - the people the culture, the festivals, the outdoors, the zoo, the other activities specific to FtW, and so on, it is good place.

Glad to hear it! You will love it there, its a nice little city...even though Shadow caver is making it out to be worse than it is..ignore him, hes pretty harmless The Art Museum downtown is a nice place too, they have good exhibits there, and you will love the rose gardens at Lakeside Park.

If possible, come back up to The Fort sometime. There's plenty of festivals, etc we have here during the warmer months.

We are moving to Fort Wayne!!!!! Though I am not happy to make another move.... I AM happy to move to Fort Wayne. We really liked what we saw. I seems like a nice safe place to raise kids and let them be kids for a longer period of time (if you know what I mean).

Does anyone know if there are any Italian markets in the area? Of course... we can always make a trip to Chicago to pick up supplies!

Well congrats! It is a good nice area... Oh, lol, the ~4" of snow that fell on us last night is all melted now.

As to specific Italian markets, sorry, can't think of one at the moment, but Meijer: Home Page has surprisingly good selection of products, not just standard offerings.
