Default Catholic Schools in Fort Worth?

Anyone have any suggestions on Elementary Catholic schools in the area? Any that stand out or any to avoid?

I'm not Catholic so I cannot comment on the quality of the school, but I used to drive by St. John the Apostle Catholic Church and school every day and, to me, year after year, it always looked like a great place for a kid to go to school.

I went to Holy Rosary Catholic School in South Arlington until 8th grade and played against most of the Catholic schools in Tarrant County. Not trying to sound like my school is the best, but it really was. I now go to Nolan Catholic High School (the only Catholic high school in Tarrant County) and my dad is the president of the Holy Rosary Advisory Council. He says that Holy Rosary has more kids who get honor roll than any other school. Of course, Holy Rosary is the most expensive (around $5,000 per student I think).

A rather cheaper one that I've found to do good things is St. Andrew's in Southern Fort Worth. The kids from there now at Nolan tend to bond really well with each other and are also pretty smart.

Default St. Andrew

My children go to St. Andrew and the school is good, very demanding however. 1st grade has 1 to 1.5 hrs of homework every evening. They do train the kids well.

The problem we have is with the actual churches in Fort Worth. Horrible sense of belonging they give off. We don't like a single church in the area and we've been giving them multiple chances.

Not to mention the scandals the Diocese has gone through of late.

Another school to consider is Holy Family. Very, very, small but high quality.
