On the Realtor.com website I found a listing for a small cottage on Golden Triangle Circle in Keller - granted the place was only 1025 sq ft, however, it was only $75,000. Can anyone give me some insight into this area? I know these adds make everything sound fabulous, but still - $75,000. . . I'd appreciate any comments about that area. Thanks so much.

JNINTN: I live very close to where this house is listed. My neighborhood is the Meritage Homes "Wilshire Valley" neighborhood, which is about mile or so southeast of the house you're talking about. The specific neighborhood where this particular house is located contains a lot of trailer-homes.

The location is pretty decent, but I personally would not feel comfortable living in a trailer home...particularly in Texas, since it offers absolutely no protection during a tornado. I would suggest that you could find a very nice single story home in Watauga (just south of Keller on 377) for between $75,000 and $125,000, and probably even get one with a pool.

Here are some MLS #s to look up on Realtor.com that I would consider:
10840051
10755653
10777805
10753766 (a little close to 820, but still, worth looking at)
10761910 (very close to some train tracks...might get loud!)

Anyhow, that gives you an idea of what you can get for just a bit more than the $75,000 that the house you were talking about. Good luck...I love the convenience of 377's many stores, and being so close to Southlake and Fort Worth.
